Kim Winker is a dedicated wife and mom who loves chai lattes, cuddly cats, and cheering for her son at soccer games. After years of writing stories in the quiet moments of motherhood, she’s excited to bring them to life through her imprint, Pumpkin Publishing Co.

The imprint is named in memory of her beloved ginger tabby cat, Pumpkin, who helped her son learn to read by curling up in his lap and demanding story time. Her son loved to read—but only if it was for Pumpkin.

Focusing on books that nourish and uplift, Kim hopes her stories will engage little ones and bring joy to families reading together.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Kim lives in Florida with her husband, son, and two fluffy white cats named Cookie and Muffin, who often nestle up nearby when she writes.
